The production model of the 1999 RX-Evolv Concept
is a sleek 4-door GT with rear hinged 'suicide'
doors. Styling cues are heavily RX-7 influenced.
Mazda has installed a 1.3L, 2-rotor Wankel engine
(250-bhp/153 lb.-ft.) for the RX-8.
A
6-speed automanual transmission channels power to
the rear wheels. Dynamic Stability Control is standard.
19-inch wheels with 225/50ZR19 and 245/45ZR19 (F/R)
tires are included. The RX-7 remains in production
in Japan. |
