The 2003 Infiniti M45 was recently unveiled at the 2002 New York Auto Show. The M45 is an over-$40,000 sedan with a 4.5-liter and a 340-horsepower engine. It is positioned between the sporty G35 and the flagship Q45, this will be the replacement for the G20 and the late replacement for the J30. Performance comes from a 4.5L V8, shared with the Q45, that features 340 bhp and 333ft-lbs of torque.

That power is sent through a standard 5-speed automatic transmission. An independent strut suspension with coil springs up front and an independent multi-link setup in the rear along with standard 18-inch rolling stock help to hold this hulking sedan up. Standard 4-wheel disc brakes with Electronic Brake force Distribution and Brake assist keep things under control when needed. For safety, Vehicle Dynamic Control and traction control are standard.
