The Ferrari F50 was designed to commemorate Ferrari's
50th anniversary in 1996. Only 349 F50s were made
in Ferrari's factory near Modeno in northern Italy.
Ferrari spokesman say that half the cars had been
reserved before the car was introduced. To most
Ferrari fans this is sacrilegious, how can so few
cars of this make be made? According to representatives
at Ferrari there was a only a market for about 350
of these cars.
The
reason for this is the hefty price tag. The car
costs $500,000 US. This Ferrari is worth every penny
because it is can do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. other
stats: Engine Size 4703 cc, Horsepower 520 bhp @
8500 rpm, Torque 471 N.m (347 lb.ft) @6500 rpm,
Max. Speed 325 km/h (202 mph) If you ever get the
chance to test drive or own this car you are very
lucky. |
