The Elise - passionately different - unmistakably
Lotus. Lotus's mission was to deliver a new breed.
Lighter, quicker, sleeker. To bring a new era of
exhilaration, energy and expression. Along with
a complete range of options, to give the true individual
the ultimate in style and choice. Naturally, Elise
features the latest thinking in styling, aerodynamics
and ride, yet it is a true Lotus. Its ultra-light
design is intended to meet all world-wide requirements
for safety, comfort and emission and noise control.
Its
stunning lines have been penned by our in-house
stylists who have justly earned respect as world
leaders. The Lotus Elise has a chassis to die for,
incredible feedback, and it's fast. It's also a
convertible. It can be a little bit difficult to
get in and out of with the hood on but it only reminds
me of hopping into fighter planes at air shows as
a kid - that same smugness of it.
Overall,
the Lotus Elise 111s is an outstanding car. It is
also, at the same time, a great dollar value. The
only cars that can rival this one in dollar value
are the Honda S2000 (240hp)(Top Speed:150mph) and
the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (276hp)(Top Speed:158mph)
VII. All three of these cars are great.
