The 2002 Volvo Cross Country is available in a
single trim. Safety features include dual front
airbags, dual side airbags, a side-impact protection
system, automatic all-wheel drive, daytime running
lights, child safety locks, a 4-wheel anti-lock
brake system (ABS), and TRACS 4-wheel Traction
Control System.
Powering the Cross Country is light-pressure
turbo 5-cylinder engine that produces 197-horsepower
teamed with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate
control, power windows and door locks, an AM/FM
stereo with cassette, remote keyless entry and
a world-first three-part 40/20/40 split-folding
rear seat.
The
Cross Country also features a unique exterior
design with front and rear fascias designed to
hide scuffs, large protective body-side molding,
front skid plate, unique roof rails and 16-inch
alloy wheels.
