The 2002 Camaro model year celebrates 35 years of great Camaro history. From the First Generation 67-69 models to the Second Generation 1970-1981 to the Third Generation 1982-1992 to the Fourth Generation after 1992 to the 35th Anniversary. Semi-unitized or full unibody; six or eight cylinders; convertible or not, the fast-looking and driving, stylish Camaro has fascinated car lovers since 1967.

The Camaro was first manufactured in August 1967 and this was the creation of the 1st generation model. The first generation was build from 1967-1969 and this car was mainly manufactured or built at the Norwood, Ohio factory near Cincinnati. 700,000 models of this car were manufactured there during those innitial years. The second generation of this car began prodution from 1970-1981. Today's V8 305 horse power camaro is inspired by the Corvette.

One of the early camaro sales jingles went like this, "the cheapest thing to a vette, yet". The 80's third generation camaro was the biggest hit. Today's camaros are still great and the 1997 thirty year aniversary car was just fantastic. Hopefully this car will exist for generations to come.
